A Palm Springs Wedding

One of my favorite things about this wedding was the bride’s determination to have everything executed exactly how she had dreamt of it in her head. She played her cards with grace and lead the pack of venders like a veteran pro. We’d never met before, but she sent me several emails asking if she could help me curate the music for the night. I said “Of Course, it’s your wedding, but within reason.” I always add that last part cause you never know what kind of taste a client might have. They may throw some curve balls in there and knock you off guard if you’re over accommodating.

One thing was certain, she wanted hip hop… a plethora of it, specifically Southern Hip Hop. Come to find out the couple, Lauren Beck and Benjamin Nulsen, hail from Atlanta and spent their youth listening to the likes of Mystikal, Ludacris, No Limit and Cash Money Records and every single solitary other hip hop artist you could possibly think of from the south. Lauren sent me the most thorough, comprehensive spotify playlist I’ve ever seen in my entire life. She did not miss a beat or a year starting will 1999 to 2010. It was the Decade’s Who’s Who of Souther Hip Hop list for the ages. I’m going track that playlist down and post it here next week. But, for now…. just look at how fire their wedding came out!!
